COVID-19 – CREATING OUR NEW NORMAL:


LOWER VALLEY DENTAL ASSOCIATES follows the direct guidance set forth by the American Dental Association (ADA), Texas State Board of Dental Examiners (TSBDE), American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) and the Center for Disease Control (CDC) regarding COVID-19 and all other infections diseases.

While going to any dental office for a routine dental evaluation and/or treatment during the COVID-19 pandemic every person should be advised of the following:

While our office complies with State Health Department and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention infection control guidelines to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus, we cannot make any guarantees.

Our staff is symptom-free and, to the best of their knowledge, have not been exposed to the virus. However, since we are a place of public accommodation, other persons (including other patients) could be infected, with or without their knowledge.

  • Increasing Our PPE Protocols

Our clinical team members will be required to change out of their home clothes into scrubs, shoes, hat and mask that will be cleaned, laundered and housed on LVDA premises.

  • Adding Air Purification System To Each Treatment Room

Our mission is to provide better and cleaner air for our customers. We selected Medify Air purifiers.  Each system is made with Medical Grade air filters to help with indoor allergies and air pollution.  Their company states their filters eliminate 99.97% of airborne particles including virus carriers.

  • Adding REME Halo LED Purification System – Producing Hydrogen Peroxide In The Air Of Our Entire Office

  • Restructuring Our Schedule To Minimize Patient Gatherings

 We know that community spread is one mode of transmitting the disease. Thus we are drastically reducing the amount of available appointments in a day. Although it will be difficult to initially accommodate everyone, we are confident that our efficiency will increase as we get used to our new routine.  

  • Adopting New Patient Protocols

– Upon arrival to the parking lot please stay in your car and TEXT (833) 243-5954 to let us know you are here

– A same-day appointment screening link will be sent to your phone. Fill it out and return it.
– After we review your answers we will send you a text to come to the entrance.
– You will be greeted by an LVDA team member who will take your temperature and escort you DIRECTLY to your treatment room.

– All appointments will have a start and finish time. This means, even if you are late, we will need to dismiss you at your scheduled end time.

–  All patients will be asked to wash their hands.

– Patients will be asked to gargle, swish and rinse with a 50/50 solution of chlorhexidine/hydrogen peroxide mixture in order to reduce the bacteria count in the oral cavity.

– All visitors/patients must wear a facial covering during their visit to our office and should only remove it when asked.

– Children with appointments may only be accompanied by ONE adult. No other siblings without appointments or extra adults will be allowed in the building

  • Upgraded Our Practice Management Software

Our new system enables us to:

  1. Send & Receive Paperwork Prior To Your Appointment
  2. Confirm Appointments via Email / Text Message / Phone
  3. Send & Receive Payments via Email / Text Message / Phone
  4. Request Appointments Online

As we navigate through our new normal, our goal is to eliminate paper forms.

– Al llegar al estacionamiento, quédese en su automóvil y TEXTO (833) 243-5954 para informarnos que está aquí

– Se le enviará a su teléfono un link para un formulario. Llénalo y devuélvelo.

– Después de revisar sus respuestas, le enviaremos un mensaje de texto para que ingrese a la entrada..
– Un miembro del equipo de LVDA lo recibirá y le tomará la temperatura y lo acompañará DIRECTAMENTE a su sala de tratamiento..

– Todas las citas tendrán un horario de inicio y finalización. Esto significa que, incluso si llega tarde, tendremos que despedirlo a la hora de finalización programada.

-A todos las/los pacientes se les pedirá que se laven las manos.

– Se les pedirá a los pacientes que hagan gárgaras, enjuague y enjuague con una solución 50/50 de mezcla de clorhexidina / peróxido de hidrógeno para reducir el recuento de bacterias en la cavidad oral

– Todos los pacientes deben usar una cubierta facial durante su visita a nuestra oficina y solo deben quitarla cuando se les solicite.

– Los niños con citas solo pueden estar acompañados por UN adulto. No se permitirán otros hermanos sin citas o adultos adicionales en el edificio.

  4. Solicitar citas por el internet

A medida que naveguemos por nuestra nueva normalidad, nuestro objetivo es eliminar los formularios en papel.
